Yesterday we talked about the basics of grounding: what it is, why it's important, and the basics of how it works.
Today I want to talk about a thing I call the grounding mat.
Some people buy grounding mats... including me. I really enjoy these grounding mats from VibesUp, and in addition to several mats, I have body wraps, coasters, and a pyramid... and bracelets, and a water bottle, and a sleeping mask, and all sorts of stuff from that same company made of the same stuff. I love how it makes me feel, and how the coasters and water bottle actually make my water taste different! ... I love it!! But the grounding mat I'm talking about today is TOTALLY DIFFERENT!!!!! |
The Grounding Mat

Yesterday I mentioned the energetic grounding system, and how it is a complex system comprised of many pieces.
The grounding mat is one of those pieces. If it is not in place and functional, the person cannot be fully and sustainably grounded.
You can muscle test right now or ask your intuition if your grounding mat is currently properly installed beneath your feet. If you look with your spiritual eyes, it will look like a circle maybe 2-3 feet in diameter right under your feet, connecting your feet to the earth. If you can't even imagine that there under your feet, then yours is probably missing!
To call back a grounding mat, several things need to happen. First, we need to identify why the mat fled in the first place, if it is gone. From there, we need to fully resolve the trauma and teach the mat, the body, and the spirit why that event was important. We need to help each of those three components feel comfortable having the mat reinstalled, before we can reinstall it. When the mat is there, we need to make sure it is intact and the proper size. We need to be sure it wants to be there and knows how to function. We need to help the body understand how the system functions as well. All the different components of the body's system need to be on board for the mat to be willing to turn back "on" if it has been off. These are things you can start muscle testing on or using your intuition about. One thing you can do is write a letter to your body about it: "Body, is my grounding mat there? Why did it flee? If it doesn't work right now, why not? What are things I need to start addressing in order to make my grounding mechanism start functioning again?" Etc. Then skip a line and write a letter back to yourself from your own body. See what it says! I would be so interested to hear what your body says about this.
