What are your unmet needs?
Part of living on this earth is having needs--and sometimes facing those needs going unmet, for one reason or another. Here are some needs we have that might be going unmet:
- Food
- Water
- Shelter
- Adequate clothing
- Sleep
- Cleanliness
- Peace
- General financial security
- Feeling appreciated
- Feeling needed and wanted
- Feeling safe and protected
- Feeling loved
We have both physical and emotional needs. When our needs are not met, we struggle.
Even if our needs ARE being met, if we don't FEEL like they are being met, we struggle.
For example, take food. So often, people who grew up feeling a sense of food scarcity will continue to operate out of a food scarcity mindset even when they are adults and food is plentiful. This leads to overeating and weight gain. Even though food needs are now being met, the emotional trauma of food scarcity is still lodged in the root chakra, and the person still deals with the root chakra issue of unmet food needs.
When it comes to our needs, it's not just enough to have them met, we need to FEEL like they are being met.
The root chakra is ALL about needs and making sure they are being met. So this week we are focusing on meeting our root chakra needs.
