I found this quote on Facebook yesterday and it got me thinking.
“It is my judgement that any man or woman can do more to conform to the laws of God in one year in this life than they could in 10 years when they are dead. The spirit only can repent and change, and then the battle has to go forward with the flesh afterwards. It is much easier to overcome and serve the Lord when both flesh and spirit are combined as one. This is the time when men are more pliable and susceptible. We will find when we are dead every desire, every feeling will be greatly intensified. When clay is pliable it is much easier to change then when it gets hard and sets.” - Melvin J. Ballard, "The Three Degrees of Glory," pp. 12, 19.
WOW! There is so much amazing stuff in here!
One piece I wanted to talk about today was this nugget: "We will find when we are dead every desire, every feeling will be greatly intensified." Yes, yes, and yes!
Several people have asked me who is teaching this upcoming class I've been talking about (I am!) and where I got my information. Well, I got my information from accessing hundreds of premortal memories, including my own and those of my clients. In trying to make sense of it all, I now have a fairly complete system for understanding Deep Past history and how to apply it for healing. You can view the information in the class as literal or symbolic, but either way, it will be helpful to your healing. I personally believe what I have found is true, but you don't have to believe that in order to use it on your healing journey.

"every feeling will be greatly intensified"

One major thing I have found in my work with Deep Past history is that this concept--of spirits without bodies having their feelings be greatly intensified--is SO TRUE.
Often what I see is that spirits without bodies--when they experience anything, the power of the emotions involved can actually explode them. Take the War in Heaven, for example. Our first big exposure to betrayal (and lots of other horrible things). Our first big exposure to lies and insults.
I find it very frequently that people's current physical issues stem from this time period, because of what Elder Ballard talked about: the intensity of spirit-feelings without bodies.
When someone today tells you you're a horrible person and it cuts you to the core emotionally, you can cry about it, go on a run, punch a pillow and scream, meditate, or do any number of things with your body to help you process the emotions that come up. You can use your body to help you feel better.
When someone tells you you're a horrible person and it cuts you to the core emotionally when you're a spirit... well, then you are literally cut to the core.
Without the body as an interface for processing emotion, the only option is for the spirit-organs experiencing and manufacturing those emotions to carry them. Sometimes those emotions are too big to carry. In those instances, you see people's systems fry. Sometimes they explode, sometimes they shatter, sometimes they flee, sometimes they just stop working altogether.
One thing I've been pioneering in my personal energy work research has been emotional processing pathways: our energetic organs that are responsible for the manufacturing and disposal of emotional energy. The WHY behind trapped emotions. What I often find is that Deep Past/premortal trauma often leads to the dysfunction of these pathways--making it so that emotions are more easily trapped. This is when you see things like generalized anxiety disorders, major depression, and unexplained fears and other feelings that seem to be inborn and not situational or precipitated by events from mortality. When your emotional organs have been exploded and dysfunctional since before you were born... well, it makes sense that you'd have a lot of anxiety or depression. Or phobias or panic attacks or sudden-onset anger.
And it also makes sense why regular energy work doesn't always get to the root of those things. If you've got a lot of trapped emotions, it means that something in your energy field is keeping them from processing properly when your emotions are generated in real time. If all you ever do is release emotions, you're never going to keep them processed for long--without healing the emotional processing pathways, you're going to get emotions trapped again and again every time you experience a new one.
Sometimes our mortal experiences shut down our processing pathways, for sure... but very often, our mortal experiences can't make our energetic systems function worse than they already do. Very often our energetic systems carry so much from the Deep Past, addressing the stuff from mortality barely scratches the surface of the healing necessary to get to the bottom of things.
bodies shorten the healing process
The first thing I do when I start a session with a new client is put in instructions into their energy field on HOW to process energetic changes safely with the body.
If you've worked with other practitioners, or even myself early on in my work, you may have noticed major side effects with energy work, things like headaches, nausea, or other such things. (Infrequently those still show up with my work, and we address them right away!)
Bodies are necessary for the healing process to take place gracefully and quickly. I first discovered this during a session for my departed brother.
My brother had died several years earlier, after an entire lifetime of struggle with an undiagnosed chronic degenerative inborn error of metabolism. He could never talk in this life. I only discovered I had the ability to do energy work during his long decline. I used my hands on healing skills to help him rest during those long months before he died, and when he was actually dying, I saw with my energetic vision that his liver meridian was blocked. I unblocked it with my hands and he passed quietly across the veil the next day.
He had been born with his undiagnosed medical condition, and one question that had always weighed on my family was WHY.
It took until he'd been dead for several years before I thought to ACTUALLY ASK HIM (duh).
I went into a room by myself and just threw it out there: "James, why did you suffer like this? What inspired that? Why was your suffering in your body important? Why did you pick this??"
So much information flooded my mind. I saw how the War in Heaven had devastated him. How he had felt so guilty about one particular spirit choosing the other side. His guilt had destroyed him. He showed me how he had intentionally chosen a life of extreme suffering and inability to communicate because he legitimately thought that was what he deserved.
As we talked, spirit to spirit, I bore my testimony to him that that is NOT what he deserved--we talked about agency and boundaries and how at the end of the day, everyone's choices are THEIR choices, not ours, and we are not responsible for their choices. He was not responsible for anyone's bad choice.
It was a deeply healing moment. We cleared a lot of past emotions and I felt like he felt happier and happier until our session was done.
And then I got a call from my momma: "ALLIE! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME?!" As I had been working on my brother, SHE had been processing the emotions I was releasing from him! And now she felt so dizzy, nauseated, and sick she could barely function!
Spirit impressed upon me that day that when we release emotions, and heal things on an energetic level, a living body MUST process them. Bodies play an irreplaceable role in emotional healing, and when we are doing emotional work for anyone without a body, the body of their closest living relative often takes the brunt of that work--unless otherwise specified. So it is very, very important to be aware of who is going to process the emotions of the deceased and how their body will do it. Many of you may have experienced this concept with ancestral work: as you release ancestral, generational, inherited emotions, YOU feel a change in your own body. This is why. Somehow, BODIES are in charge of processing emotions.
This is also why you cannot have angels process things for you. In my pre-recorded work, I always recommend watching things several times so that the body can work through the emotional work at its own pace. Always remember that in the body, emotions are chemical, so engaging in energy work of any kind creates physical, chemical reactions that are the reason for the nausea, headaches, and other sensations that people often feel when engaging in energy work.
At times I've had clients try to speed up the process by having angels take on the processing part of a session. But angels do not have bodies. Therefore they cannot process. If we give them our emotions during a session in order to avoid uncomfortable side effects, it can work from our perspective, because we don't have to process those emotions. But they don't process those emotions either. In those cases, our emotions just clog up and weigh on our own angels and that is not very kind, in my opinion!
